Know Your Rights Event to be Held at Richards High School

With the influx of hateful rhetoric and Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents shaking up our communities, AAFS decided to host a Know Your Rights Workshop at St. George Orthodox Church, On Friday, March 24, 2017. The purpose of the workshop was to educate community members about current immigration enforcement policies while teaching them about their rights as community members, regardless of their immigration status. We understand the challenges our communities are facing and we aim to arm you with knowledge that will ease the hearts of you and your loved ones. A few aspects of the program revolve around preparing yourself for an action plan, identifying an attorney and BIA organizations that can help you. On Wednesday, May 3, 2017, we will be hosting our next Know Your Rights event at Richards High School, from 6-8pm. For any inquiries or to register, please contact Rima Najia at rnajia@aafsil.org or give us a call at (708) 599-2237
